Hi there! My name is Adrienne Jewel, and plants are one of the largest passions in life. I also love all things girly and PINK!
I started collecting plants and crafting during the pandemic to help me find a therapeutic escape from everyday life. With help from my sweetheart and planty friends, I finally got the confidence to launch my shop to share my creations with fellow plant-lovers. I hope the jewels I create fill your hearts with joy and plant love!
Darlinghoya
Why did I name my business Darlinghoya?
I am Native American from the Hopi Tribe. I would spend my childhood summers and school breaks on the Hopi reservation to be with family. My Martha So'oh (grandma) would get giddy and so excited when I came "home". She would scream, "Ohhh, there's my Darlinghoya!" in her tiny voice. Darlinghoya translates to "little darling" in Hopi. It became an endearing name that she and my dad would call me. It just so happens that I love Hoya plants as well so it seemed like the perfect fit!
My dad and so'oh are no longer in this world but I know they're with me when I create. They were both recognized artists who worked hard to produce the most amazing jewelry and baskets. I hope to make them proud with all the wonderful planty things that I share with you and others.
